Have you ever wished your iPod shuffle could work with devices made for full-size iPod dock connectors? Now it can. Plug this Griffin adapter into the headphone port of your 2nd generation iPod shuffle. Now the world of dock connector devices is open to your tiny player.
Customer Review: Doesn't work with Alpine Car Stereo
I have an Alpine car stereo that has the ability to control an IPod through the face. I have a regular IPod and a Shuffle. I was hopeing to use this little adapter so that I could plug my shuffle into my stereo, but no luck. It works like it's supposed to with other docking devices, just not in my car. :(.
Customer Review: Use it unconventionally... works great!
I have several iPod dock items that are incompatible with my iPhone. The biggest is my Bose Sound Dock Series I. I use the Griffin adaptor (switched to speaker) along with an elbow joint and double female jack to add a standard 1/8" input on my docks and can then plug in anything to those audio devices, including my iPhone. One thing to keep in mind is that it's not a tight connection. Its wiggles out fairly easily but it does what I need it to: makes it so I can connect any audio device into systems that are made specifically for iPods.
